初三英语话题复习

Revision: animals and the environment

Teaching goals:

Knowledge aims:

Review description words and relative expressions about animals.

Review expressions about pollution.

Ability aims:

Be able to talk about and write down relative expressions about nature.

Emotional aims:

Be able to pay much attention to environmental protection and try to protect it from daily things.

Teaching important and difficult points:

Important points: review the expressions of environmental pollution.

Difficult points: able to express the problems, reasons and solutions of environmental pollution correctly and fluently.

Step 1. Lead in.

Show some pictures about polar bears and ask “What are they? Do you like them”

Look at the pictures and answer the questions.

Lead into the topic



Step2. Talk about basic information of animals

Make students summarize names and description words about animals

Ask students what should we talk about when we describe an animal

Ask students talk about animals.

Summarize names and description words about animals

Think about what they should talk about when describing an animal.

Describe their favorite animals.

Review the expressions about animals.



Step 3. Listening.

Let students learn about the main idea of the listening material.
