Unit6 SectionA(1a-1c)教学设计
Teaching Objectives:
1、Students can read and remember the words about jobs correctly.
2、Students can talk about their own dream jobs in English bravely.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1: Lead-in
Play a short flash about jobs and ask students what the flash is about.
Step 2: Learn new words
1、Let students say the words about jobs they knew first.
2、Look at pictures and learn new words, such as pilot、violinist、pianist、scientist、computer programmer、engineer.
Step 3: A game
Use some word cards to help students remember the new words better. Game rule: One student see the word cards and act by using his body language, and others guess what the job is.
Step 4: Pre-listening (Prediction)
Look at the picture and guess what their dream jobs are.
Step 5: While-listening
1、Listen and write down the students’ dream jobs.
Learn the strategies about how to write down long words during listening.
e.g. Write down the first letters and complete the whole words later.
2、Listen again and find out how the students make their dreams come true.
Step 6: Post-listening (Pair-work)
Students ask their classmates their dream jobs by using the following three questions.
1、What are you going to be when you grow up?
2、Why are you going to be a/an...?
3、How are you going to become a/an...?
Step 7: Judy’s dream job
1、Guess what Judy is going to be in the future and then students try to find the answer from a short video. (Video 1)
2、Think about two questions: (Video 2)

教学反思;通过谈论学生未来的职业理想导入课题,激发学生学习本单元的学习兴趣。同时也可以通过呈现一些关于职业的图片来引导学生来谈论自己未来要从事的职业。
通过学习1a,让学生掌握一些职业名词,了解相关职业的特点。通过1b培养学生的听力技巧,听懂本单元所学习的目标语言。通过1c训练学生的口语表达能力,进一步巩固所学的目标语言。
