Teaching Objectives:
1. Students will know the purpose of a website called “world gifts” and give their opinions on it.
2. Students will learn how to help people living in poverty.
3. Students will be inspired to realize their dreams through hard work.
Teaching important and difficult points:
Get the Students to realize that they should make the most of what they own and do something for the poor.
Teaching Procedures:
1. Sharing Your Homework
1. Do you want to be a volunteer in poor areas ? If you do, please make a plan.
2. Describe and compare the differences between your school and the one Jo
worked in.
2. Brainstorming
If you want to send a gift or donate something to students in poor areas, what will you choose to donate ?
3. Pre-reading
Glance quickly at the text and answer the following questions.

In what kind of order are the gifts listed? How much are the cheapest and dearest gifts?
4. Careful-reading
