Textbook analysis:本单元是这本书的第四单元,涉及人际沟通,住和行这两大方面的话题。本课时是在第一课时学习了方位表达之后,要求学生能用已学知识为他人指向并对别人的寻求做出正确的回应。既是第一课时后的知识输出,同时也是Task写作课时的知识的输入,在整个单元中起着承上启下的桥梁作用。

Analysis of learning:储备了一定的两地之间位置表达及交通方式的知识;学生层次差异较大,语言表达能力较为薄弱, 但参与课堂的积极性较高。

Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims:

1.To know how to read the map and master different directions.

2.To know the names of animals in the zoo and their features.

3.To learn to show directions for others and give the right response to others.

Ability aims:

1. Guess and understand the meanings of some new words according to the text;

2. Get information about a trip to the zoo by reading several times;

3. Learn to show directions for others and give the right response to others.

Feeling aims:

Develop the feeling of loving nature and how to be a good guide.

Key points:

1.Get information about the trip to the zoo by reading several times;

2. Use the text and the skills of reading to review and consolidate (巩固)what they have learned.

Difficult points:

Learn to show directions for others and give the right response to others.

Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Pre-reading

1.Enjoy a video about animals.

T: What animals are they in the video?

S:…

T:Do you know any other animals?

2.Show pictures to have a revision. Ask “Where’s the…? Do you know the way to the…?”

3. Show more pictures and organize the students to ask and answer in pairs.
