There are always people saying that unpaid community service should be count in at a compulsory part of high school programs. In my opinion, I fully agree with this idea, and I will use the following passage to explain my thoughts.

First and foremost, there is obviously a lot of advantages for making community service a compulsory “subject” for high school students. By doing community service, the students can gain a lot of knowledge about life skills , and they can also learn to have sympathy toward others who need help. School is a place not only to develop the academic abilities of students, but also develop the students mentally, to make them more helpful people for the society. And develop the students mentally can be achieved by making community service a compulsory work for the students, as in my experience, there rarely have students who want to do community service under there own willing.

Also, let community service compulsory for the students can make them more sociable. Nowadays, while electronic games are becoming a trend among the teenagers, many high school students like to stay at home and play those online games in the non-school-hours, rather than go outside and make friends with those real person. This make the teenagers nowadays less sociable.
