Step 1 : Lead-in

(Greet the whole class )

T: Good morning, everyone!

1. Show Ss the aims of this lesson.

2. Lead in the topic “first aid” by a picture of a drowning man.

T: there is a man lying on the ground. Do you know what happened to him?

T: Yeah, he is a drowning man,so what canyou do before the special car can come?

T: now I will give you some tips, and you need to put these sentences into correct order.

Give the definition of the first aid:

The help given to some one who is hurt/ injured suddenly before a doctor can

be found is called _____

Often the ______ or ______ is not_______, but there are other times when giving first aid quickly can save lives .

Step 2: Let’s learn

Talk about different situations and what first aid they should be given.

Q: What has happened to them? What can you do to help?

(such as a snake bite; bleeding; a sprained ankle; choking; a broken arm; a nosebleed)
