This lesson is going to talk about grammar:The Present Participle as Concomitant Adverbials,which is a key point of this unit.This point is often included in our exercises and tests,so we should pay more attention to it.

三、Learner analysis

The students of this class are good students,so most of them have a good command of English. But they lack vocabulary and grammar and can not analyze the long sentences. Some of them are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistake.So I often use some activities in the class to finish some tasks such as individual, pair or group work to let each of them have more chances to practise English and involve actively in the lesson, thus to make some improvement .

四、Teaching aims

1. Knowledge aims:

1)Know the form of Present Participle

2)Identify what kind of adverbial it is

2. Ability aims:

Let the students know how to use the Present Participle as Concomitant Adverbials correctly.

3. Emotional aims:

1)Build up the students` confidence of learning English

2)Improve and strengthen their cooperation and competence among groups
